A single letter followed by digits was used from 1920 to 1925.

Alpha-prefixed plates from 1920-1922 are apparently courtesy plates, and may have used the same prefix letters that were documented for 1923 below.
Notice that several plates issued from 1920-22 have continued the same number through 1925.

From 1923 to 1925, courtesy plates used the following prefix letters, and numbers up to 1000.
1923: A, B, E, K, L, S, W were issued.
1924: H and N were added.
1925: R and Z were added.
