In 1990 or 1991, NJ adopted the standard 7x4 size for motorcycle plates and added the legend "MOTORCYCLE".
This base started at number J100A.
During 1992, new INSPECTION stickers started to take the place of the standard registration stickers.
The inspection stickers typically had a hole punched for the month of inspection.
