FLAT PLATE TYPESET New Jersey started using flat license plates in April of 2014. Since then, various types have been "going flat" as the supply of embossed plates runs out. Below are graphics of all the flat plates that have been spotted so far.
All images generated by me except IV 1084 (don't know all of the graphics yet). Current to 11/01/2017.
The plates types shown below are sequential issues - they have progressed from embossed to flat.
And these are non-sequential types which have been spotted - either special types, or as remakes or vanities.
