SPORTS / NASCAR PLATES
These became available in October 2010.
These were New Jersey's first COMPLETELY FLAT plates to be issued.
2010/2011R/M 10AA - approx. R/M 99BC
The numbering for all the sports plates starts with a stacked RM prefix ... why RM do you ask ?
They are the initials of the then-Chairman and Chief Administrator of the NJ MVC: Raymond Martinez. It's good to be the King...
Although issuance technically started in October 2010, no plates were seen on the road until March 2011.

This is the FIRST sports plate issued, and the FIRST flat plate issued. Photographed in use - Aug 2015.

From 2010 ro 2014 (AA to DM suffixes) the plates were manufactured on-demand, so there is no correlation between the team and the suffix. Looks like some were produced in groups, as sequential (or close) numbers are sometimes for the same team.
